Yukking it up at CFR Pandemic Influenza Symposium

COHEN: Then should we mandate for children?

(Laughter.)

COHEN: We do for school entry. Individual states do for school entry. Why don’t we do that to protect the population? And we know that protecting our children from the vaccine, if they are indeed ten times more infectious —

MONTO: A very brief answer which covers a lot of problems with influenza vaccine and we’ve heard it brought up already and that is, a lot of our problems with mandating influenza vaccine, use of influenza vaccine, would go away if we didn’t have the need for annual vaccination. I mean, we’ve got a different kind of vaccine here, and I think we need to recognize the difference between influenza vaccine the way it’s used and the fact that it’s a good vaccine.

It’s not a great vaccine. We’ve shown in a recent study 70 percent efficacy of the live vaccine in healthy adults young adults, who should have the best efficacy. We need, as we’ve heard, a better vaccine.

COHEN: Well, it’s an interesting question, though. Would you be against mandating?

SIMONSEN: Well, I think this is very interesting because, I mean, especially for the health-care worker example. I mean, there are many, many good reasons why health care workers should be considering immunization for their own safety but also to protect and, first, do no harm to the patients that they are treating. Having said that, does it work to mandate?

I think what would work better would be to say that there was a shortage and people tend to buy more of something that’s in demand. (Laughter.) We saw that — there was one season where, really, people lined up all night to get a flu shot.

COHEN: Right.

SIMONSEN: And I mean —

COHEN: Well, there is shortage.

SIMONSEN: No, actually, because we thought we were going to need two doses for every adult and since we are – only one dose, so, actually, we have twice as many doses and enough for the whole population at this point, I understand.

COHEN: But it’s not there today, so –

SIMONSEN: Right, right. But I mean, that’s –

COHEN: You had a question. You’ve been waiting a long time. And please identify yourself.

How else do I know she was talking out of school? All you have to do is look at what’s happened in Canada. 50 million vaccine doses were ordered for a population of 33 million, but we are told there is a shortage, and the excuse given is that the sole source, GlaxoSmithKline, has to focus at the moment on non-adjuvanted vaccines – for special purposes, like the military. The general population, of course, gets the adjuvanted kind.

I heard this with my own ears on a CPAC broadcast of the emergency Parliamentary session on Swine Flu held on Monday evening (Nov. 2) – and the CBC confirms it:

“GlaxoSmithKline overestimated their ability to produce the adjuvanted vaccine while they focus on unadjuvanted vaccine” …

But do you remember the video that the Sun dumped as quickly as it published it, and we had to look elsewhere to find it? It said that the vaccine has arrived in two separate vials, one containing vaccine, another containing adjuvant – and the two had to be mixed by the jabbers themselves, which is why the line-ups moved so slowly.

Benedictine Hermana Teresa Forcades is a fresh voice in the vaccine skepticism/anti-forced vaccination punditry choir.  Teresa has also publicly aired heretical views on abortion and sexuality… and has yet to be excommunicated.

Here she discusses not only the vaccine/pandemic issue but, more broadly, conspiracy research and 5th generation activism.  To Teresa and to her translator: Gracias!

Eleven cents. Eleven cents.

From 10-13-09, Gary Null gives his 22 cents (at 1:16) on vaccines and Big Pharma at the New York State Assembly.  I think this is the review he references.

Also thought it was pretty funny that, yesterday, the P-G reported,

Cases of H1N1 influenza — also known as swine flu — peaked late last month in Allegheny County and the worst of it may be over even as the traditional flu season looms ahead.

Dr. Jim Lando, on assignment with the Allegheny County Health Department from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, told the county Health Board yesterday that 9 percent of the people visiting emergency rooms at eight hospitals in the county last week reported flu-like symptoms, down from 17 percent on Oct. 24 and 25.

and WPXI reported,

At about Oct. 23, 17 percent of patients seeking treatment at local emergency rooms had H1N1, health officials said.  That number is now down to 9 percent.

Swine Flu Baloney

Tuesday, October 6th, 2009

At that point one of the Chicom biologists swung into his daily propaganda chores about bacteriological warfare and accused Ain of manufacturing biotic weapons. Ain took the wind out of his sails by saying: “You’re perfectly right.” By tacit consent, there was very little talk about military applications, industrial dusting, or subjects of that type.

James Tiptree, Jr., “The Last Flight of Doctor Ain”

This Flu Season

With the spread of Influenza A (H1N1) there are a few extra precautions everyone should take this flu season:

01
1. Leave official H1N1 drop areas.

02
2. Avoid major population centers.

04
3. Wear sensible shoes and prepare a “Go Bag.”

03
4. Leave your belongings and go to ground.

06
5. Wash your hands properly.

05
6. Put all your affairs in order.

07
Vaccination is voluntary, but let’s not make this any harder than it has to be.

Montag, Agitprop

This morning at Whole Foods I saw hands of blue nasally violating some guy on the cover of USA Today,

a bunch of folks waiting in a vaccine clinic on the cover of the Trib, and the loveliest chemtrails in recent memory festooning the sky.  Happy flu season, compañeros!

Be well, smoke ‘em if you smoke ‘em, and cuídate.

Calcium Phosphate Nanoparticles New Vaccine Adjuvant

Thursday, September 17th, 2009

According to a presentation entitled “BioVant Calcium Phosphate (CaP) Nanoparticles: An Effective Safe Adjuvant for Influenza Vaccines including H1N1 and H5N1” given by BioSante Pharmaceuticals at the Immunotherapeutics & Vaccine Summit (ImVacS) last week : ”BioSante’s vaccine adjuvant, BioVant™, increased the protective effect of vaccines for multiple flu strains, including a potential new vaccine against H1N1 (swine flu), which resulted in 100 percent protection from symptoms of illness, including weight loss, and death in animal studies.” More precisely the adjuvant “effectively enhanced the natural immune response to the swine flu, using a BioVant-adjuvanted matrix protein M1 vaccine, and to H5N1 (bird flu), using a BioVant- adjuvanted H5N1 vaccine delivered via intranasal administration.” (see the company’s full press release for other details). BioSante Pharmaceuticals now seemingly plans to license BioVant to a vaccine maker (see Reuters article).

Nanocolors, 8-24-09

The article that has been associated with the claim on nanoparticles in the H1N1 Swine Flu vaccine can be tracked to F. William Engdahl at Global Research. He claimed on September 14: “Vaccines which have been approved by government authorities for vaccination against the alleged H1N1 Influenza A Swine Flu have been found to contain nano particles. Vaccine makers have been experimenting with nanoparticles as a way to “turbo charge” vaccines for several years. Now it has come out that the vaccines approved for use in Germany and other European countries contain nanoparticles in a form that reportedly attacks healthy cells and can be deadly.”

FIRST, Engdahl’s claim alleges this vaccine may have been approved for use in Europe. Its role, if any, in America is very unclear.

SECOND, the vast bulk of the reportage claiming that nanoparticles are in the new vaccine is directly traceable to this single individual. Engdahl is a well-known fear monger and author of Full Spectrum Dominance: Totalitarian Democracy in the New World Order. If you want to learn more about him visit his website.

THIRD, his evidence is drawn from the EPFL publication that describes research rather than production. Bioengineering researchers from the EPFL in Lausanne, Switzerland, have developed and patented a nanoparticle that can deliver vaccines more effectively, presumably with fewer side effects, and at a fraction of the cost of current vaccine technologies. This research is reported in a recent issue of Nature Biotechnology.

It is important to note that many research teams are engaged in research of this type. For example, researchers at Oregon State believe lecithin nanoparticles have wide potential applications and possibly a good safety profile. Their findings were just published in the Journal of Controlled Release in work supported by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. In addition, some companies have made claims associated with hypothetical applications of nanoparticles. According to a presentation by BioSante Pharma at the recent Immunotherapeutics & Vaccine Summit, the presenter claimed BioSante’s vaccine adjuvant, BioVant™, increased the protective effect of vaccines for multiple flu strains, including a potential new vaccine against H1N1 (swine flu). Allegedly, BioVant involves calcium nanoparticles.

As to the vaccine, even FOX News reported: “They’re pushing it as fast as they can, but they still have to meet good manufacturing standards,” said Dr. Peter Gross, senior vice president and chief medical officer at Hackensack University Medical Center. “It will be tested to make sure it’s safe and contains the proper amounts of protective antibodies,” said Gross, who tested flu vaccines for 20 years for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

Nanoparticles in H1N1 Swine Flu Virus Vaccine????” Prof. D.M. Berube, Nanohype 9-16-09

In 2067, an unknown disease struck the Japanese populace, and was countered by an experimental vaccine. In truth, the disease – or more precisely the “vaccine” – was merely an excuse for Daiwa to begin mass testing of experimental nanotechnology. Every Japanese citizen was thus converted into a form of synthetic life. And like any experimental technology, there were unforeseen side effects.

The conversion is imperfect, ultimately resulting in the infected humans entirely losing their free will and becoming merely lifelike machines. In addition, some of the nanotech went amok, resulting in the “Jags”, giant whirling constructs of semisentient metal that prowl the wilderness like metallic sandworms. The Jags have destroyed all of Japan save Tokyo, which is protected by an indelible wall of ceramic.
